Formation of the Regional Expertise Council
Thursday, February 11, 2010, has been organized the meeting for the establishment of the Regional Council of Expertise, composed of representatives of LPA, NGOs, business sector in Orhei, Rezina Telenesti, Soldanesti districts.
During the meeting were addressed these issues:
• Forming of the Orhei Regional Expertise Council (OREC) in order to identify and promote priority regional projects.
• Familiarizing participants with National Regional Development Fund‘s management conditions.
• Successful European practice.
• Setting the OREC working conditions and Action Plan.
Anatol Bucatca, RDA-CENTER and Country Manager Hilfswerk Austria in Republic of Moldova, asked guests to come up with proposals that would help developing Orhei region through projects with a regional impact, mentioning that the key to success “is close cooperation between all members OREC and RDA-CENTER ".
Following discussions, members OREC concluded that the most pressing problems related to these areas are: unexplored tourism area, poor economic development, weak infrastructure and waste problem.
