GUSTAR - Ethno Music Festival, First Edition

Sunday, August 29, 2010, at the Old Orhei took place the first edition of the International Festival GUSTAR - Ethno music festival. There were invited representatives of different cultures to taste the Moldovan traditional cuisine and also to be introduced with the music ethnic style.

The event, organized by the Cultural Association "Sense Music” and Creative Association "Echinox", with the support of the Government of Republic of Moldova, it was attended by Moldovan citizens and foreign travelers.

Experts of "RDA - Center" NGO and "Hilfswerk Austria in Moldova” NGO, in collaboration with the festival organizers have ensured the presence of craftsmen and SGP beneficiaries. The craft items are made with authentic specifics. The organizers created the necessary conditions for exposure by selling the works.

Also, SGP II beneficiaries: Soldanesti Creation Center and "IL Caragiale" Lyceum from Orhei town, practiced "live" the clay processing and ceramics´ manufacturing.

Festival program included: artisans fair, trips to the tourist route, the celebration of the first wine (within the town of tents), visiting the agro-pensions of the area, visiting the archaeological excavations, Para-show, tasting the traditional dishes, instrumental recitals, ethno-folkloric bands and artists from Bulgaria, Peru, Romania, Germany, Moldova.
