RDA – CENTER contributes to reduce socio-economic imbalances in the region. In accordance with national and regional development policies, RDA develops and promotes strategies, attracts resources, identifies and implements financing programs, offers service in order to stimulate sustainable economic growth, partnership and entrepreneurship.
Successful projects developed from Austrian funds
On Tuesday, February 22, 2011, representatives of “Hilfswerk Austria in Moldova” NGO held a roundtable on "Evaluation of Small Grants Program (SGP) - Performance. Quality. Impact.” The activity was organized within the project “Vocational Education and Rural Development” and implemented with financial support of the Government of Austria through the Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC).
The roundtable hosted more than 45 participants. Participants included representatives of PLA level I and II, and beneficiaries of SGP Round I – III attended the roundtable.
The total value of the budget for the financial support of the projects was 2,566,899 MDL (total value of grants). Out of a total of 180 project submissions, 68 projects were implemented. The projects created more than 135 new jobs and trained more than 900 young people.
These successful projects improved soci-economic development and the quality of life for people in rural areas. The projects also encouraged entrepreneurship among young people, promoting partnerships between people in governmental, community, and associative sectors.
