Zahoreni village Community Meeting

Thursday, July 15, 2010, in Zahoreni village, Orhei district, was held a general community meeting of the village, in order to identify and to give priority to the local problems which will be solved through programs funded by the MSIF.

At the meeting were present:  Orhei Territorial Office of the State Chancellery Orhei Chief, Mr. Iurie Lupacescu and Orhei District Council President, Mr. Andrei Globa, RDA-Center Program Coordinator and Orhei District Councilor, Mr. Tudor Golub, RDA-Center Expert, Mr. Dumitru Malai.

Mrs.Natalia Sandu, MSIF representative, presented to the 374 gathered people (163 men and 211 women), program principles and conditions which the community must meet to access a grant worth up to about 1 million lei.

Following a unanimous vote, Zahoreni village's gymnasium was qualified as the most pressing problem that needs to be addressed by this program.

At the end of the meeting, citizens voted people who will be involved in the project implementation group, made up of seven persons responsible for fundraising and monitoring the implementation process.

Zahoreni Mayor, Mr. Vasile Cojocaru, thanked the entire community for the implication and desire to solve local problems promptly. Last but not least was thanked the Orhei District Council for financial support in collecting the community contribution.
